Alethia is a purpose and results driven C-suite executive with a strong healthcare and retail background. She has a track record of developing strategies to help companies navigate heavily regulated industries with strong consumer facing demand and identify growth opportunities. Alethia has held leadership roles in Fortune 25 companies and leading industry trade associations. Through her roles leading Government Relations, ESG and DEI, Alethia has worked closely with boards advising on risk management and governance. Alethia currently serves as an advisor to corporate executives on legislative and regulatory affairs, compliance and risk mitigation, philanthropy, sustainability and workforce inclusion.
Most recently, Alethia served as SVP of ESG and Chief DEI Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she developed and implemented data driven sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement strategies to advance business priorities and drive market expansion. Alethia also led enterprise-wide philanthropic investments as President of the Walgreens Foundation.

Previously, Alethia held leadership roles in government and regulatory affairs for Walgreens, America's Health Insurance Plans and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. As Vice President of Government Affairs for Walgreens, she successfully led the company’s legislative and regulatory portfolio. During the COVID-19 pandemic Alethia led the company's partnership with the US Government as well as health equity efforts in underserved communities.
Alethia is the founder of Ultimate PowerPlay, a social platform and salon event series designed to connect diverse women leaders across various sectors to collaborate, broker partnerships, and drive innovation. Aletha is a thought leader and sought after national speaker. She speaks regularly at industry events including Fortune Impact Summit, CES, The Board Risk Committee (BRC), and Women's Business Leadership Conference. Alethia has also appeared in Forbes, Savoy, Washington Life, and Essence Online.

Alethia serves as a director on several nonprofit boards: Howard University School of Pharmacy; Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. where she serves a Secretary and Member of the Executive Committee; Arena Stage Theater in Washington DC, where she co-chairs the Governance Committee; and Global Women in Innovation (GlobalWIN).
Alethia holds a Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
